Another teen-age girl murdered.


Another teenage girl murder news has socked delhi this morning. This time it happens in Noida sector-25, a place where people think that they are more safe than others. The 14 year girl- Arushi was at her home alone, her parents Dr. Rajesh Talwar and Dr. Nupur Talwar were at there work place. Police suspect over there 45-year old servant Hemraj, who has gone missing. Her throat slit and with injuries on her head. Police believe the injuries may have been inflicted by "a heavy sharp-edged instrument, like khukri". The police suspect that the servant may have tried to physically assault the girl and she would have threatened to raise an alarm. So, he may have murdered her to silence her.
Arushi was a class nine student and said to be brilliant student. She was looking forward to her vacations, starting saturday.
This was not the first time that it happens in the city. In many families, both father and mother work and go to their respective offices, left their child to unidentified servants. They don't go with a proper way to hire a servant, though police warn citizens to go through a proper investigation before hiring any servant. These servants do this crime, either for money or their sexual need.
The parents need to take some bit of care before hiring new servant. Also doctors say that parents should look for the following signals to detect whether their kids were undergoing any physical or mental trauma.

  • Unexplained mood swings.
  • Sudden drop in performance at school.
  • Breakdown in family relationships.
  • Sudden weight gain/weight loss.
  • Withdrawal from social situations.
  • Sudden disinterest in hobbies.
For infants, read the following signals :
  • Hyper vigilance.
  • Bed-wetting.
  • Nightmares.
  • Clinginess to mom.
  • Kicking, pinching, unusual aggression.

Senior citizen- soft target in delhi.




Senior citizens are soft target in delhi. They are being targeted from many times in delhi continuously. This crime claimed the life of yet another senior citizen on thursday,15/05/2008. B.D sharma,a 68-year old retired transport manager of Air India,was throttled and then stabbed to death at his janakpuri residence in the afternoon. Five people known to the family have been detained in this connection.
This is not first time happened in the city. Sometimes the crime done by the family/known person, sometimes servants are involved and sometimes by the robbers. These crimes happens because,they are not physically so strong to resist the crime. Although Delhi police is very much concern about what is happening around and also had taken some steps to stop the crime.
The police has also advised some precautions to the senior citizens,who are living alone. They are advised to take these precautions.

Do’s :-

  • Ensure effective safety features/ barring mechanisms on doors & windows.
  • Put a magic eye on the main door.
  • Try to keep a dog as a pet.
  • When stepping out for a walk, go out in a group.
  • Connect your neighbors house to your own home with an emergency alarm bell.
  • Keep vital telephone numbers handy for emergency.
  • Inform your police station, neighbor or the nearest PCR-van if you are suspicious of some one.
  • Insist on getting your servant and other domestic help verified at the local police station.

Dont’s :-

  • Don’t leave your valuables around the house.
  • Don’t make any ostentatious display of your cash or jewelery.
  • Don’t trust strangers – and don’t open your door to unidentified people.
  • Don’t be a recluse. Socialize with your neighbors.
  • Don’t ignore any suspicious incident. Inform the police.
  • Don’t let your servant have access to your almirahs, safes or other such.
  • Don’t talk about family secrets or property, in front of strangers/ servants.
  • Don’t forget to call up your local officers if the beat constable the Division Officer has not visited you during the week.
