"The road authorities, among them engineers, are aware of this fact. But lethargy and lack of direction on part of the decision-makers has brought the situation to such a state. No back up and plans are made by the delhi gov. officials to sort out this problem.
Clearing water logging and sewer lines are crucial for ensuring that roads stay in good health during rainy days. But the record of road maintenance has not been good. The Capital does not have sufficient mechanical sewer cleaning units. "The MCD's work quality is not up to the mark although the NDMC has a better record and PWD is just right. The main problem is that repairs are undertaken at the last moment," the scientist said. Till almost the start of June, the authorities had been busy with road repairs and the early onset of monsoon put the work off track.
Coming few months are really going to be a nightmare for the people of delhi.They have to face a lot of problems while commuting.
